The Hon Matthew Bullock speaks at our Cambridge forum
We are delighted that The Hon. Matthew Bullock, Master of St Edmund's College, University of Cambridge, will be speaking at our Cambridge forum in November.
Our forum will look at the latest innovations in healthcare as well as future economic and infrastructure planning around the UK's science and technology hubs, which foster talent and collaboration between university research, the private sector and the NHS.
Matthew took up the post at St Edmunds' in 2014 and previously in 2013 he was appointed Chairman of Transforming Pathology Partnership, a joint venture between six NHS trusts in East Anglia.
Recently, he served as a Non- Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit and Business Development Committees of the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He is also involved in leading the Centre for Science and Policy (CSaP) in Cambridge, which has a mission to improve public policy through the more effective use of evidence and expertise.
Prior to becoming Master at St Edmunds, he had a long and successful career in the financial sector, joining Barclays Bank in 1974, where he rose to become Regional Director in Leeds and Director of Risk Management and Group Senior Executive.
From 1998 - 2011, Matthew was Group Chief Executive of the Norwich & Peterborough Building Society and during this time was Chairman of the Building Societies Association.
Matthew read History at Peterhouse Cambridge as an undergraduate and was a member of the University's Audit Committee from 1999 - 2012, a founding member of the Judge Business School Advisory Board and Chairman of the Advisory Board for the ESRC Centre for Business Research. He is a 1596 Foundation Fellow of Sidney Sussex College and also a Trustee of Cambridge Past Present and Future.
