Mitsui Fudosan on urban knowledge hubs


Mitsui Fudosan's Director of Planning and Engineering, David Height has been speaking about the vital role of design and place-making in creating world-leading knowledge hubs, ahead of our forum at White City on 3rd July.

Mitsui Fudosan, Japan's leading private real estate company and partner of Stanhope PLC, which has been working on the redevelopment of the West London BBC Television Centre and the adjoining White City Place will join our discussions at the WestWorks studio at our ninth Future Cities Forum on 3rd July.

David stressed the importance of anchoring tech hubs through leading universities - in this case, Imperial College London, which has invested significantly into the area including 'Central Working White City' which is an innovation hub providing space for more than 400 start-ups, scale ups and established companies.

He also described the importance of high quality office design and public realm which allow planned and chance encounters of those working in urban tech hubs for the exchange of ideas and knowledge.
