This June RIBA is opening a new national architecture centre on Liverpool's waterfront.
RIBA North will be a resource both for members and the public with exhibitions, talks and tours. Items from RIBA's collection not publicly seen before will go on show along with a 3D digital city model in an exhibition 'Liverpool(e): Mover Shaker Architectural Risk-Taker' .
London studio Broadway Malyan designed the new base which is RIBA's first centre outside the capital. The building has been described as 'two mono-pitched volumes' covered in black reflective cladding.
Liverpool's Mayor, Joe Anderson says RIBA North ' will be in good company on our prestigious Liverpool Waterfront, alongside the Albert Dock and the Three Graces'.
