Cartier and Future Cities Forum
Future Cities Forum was in St Moritz this weekend to applaud Cartier for winning at the 33rd Snow Polo World Cup. The tournament has been played on the frozen lake since 1985 against the backdrop of the Engadine Valley mountains.
St Moritz is three hours by train from Zurich on the Glacier Express built on the Edwardian rail track that criss-crosses the valley past frozen waterfalls. It is home to famous luxury hotels like the Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains and new ventures such as the Grace Hotel due to open next year.
Future Cities Forum will be holding its next luxury event this summer showcasing sporting, cultural and retail experiences along with investment developments.
While at the polo, Future Cities Forum visited the La Martina tent following the brand's inclusion in our recent forum on luxury investment and design held in St James's Square London. Knight Frank, Philips, Make Architects, Native Land and Glasgow Caledonian University all attended and discussed the growing trends in luxury design and architecture.
Martin Ambridge, London store manager at La Martina described the importance of creating a luxury shopping environment where customers can take time to consider purchases in a comfortable environment.
La Martina is launching a new ski helmet this season in time for the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in St Moritz in February (see below)
